Connecticut-born and Connecticut-raised, I’ve been fishing in the Nutmeg State since before I can remember. I’ve always been possessed –maybe somewhat obsessed– with the quest to seek out and catch fish. But this whole Connecticut Angler adventure didn’t really take shape until I merged that love for sportfishing with social media and the creation of videos in which I bring folks along for the ride. It’s become a great way to share experiences and connect me with with others in the angling community.
So who is The Connecticut Angler, you ask? Well, I’m J. G. Coleman and I suppose that I’m the Connecticut Angler in the context of the videos, stories, advice and imagery that I share. But in truth, I chose that name for this endeavor as more of an ideal than some personal title. If you dedicate some part of your time and yourself to seeking out gamefish in the waters of Connecticut, then you’re just as much The Connecticut Angler as I am.
